Monday 16th June – Netta

Hi all – Well we did it, We got him to watch all 4 hours of ‘Gone with the wind’. That just proves he’s a whole new man… Has he lost his Street Cred Charlie? haha.

We haven’t done much again today – the time seems to be taken up with Acupuncture and Physio. It was terribly hot this morning but its started raining now so hopefully that will cool it down a bit.

Happy Birthday Joanne xxxx Hope you have a good day.

Hope Nathan’s feeling better and back in school after his accident – send us a message Nathe! x

Lots of love xx

Sunday 15th June – Netta

Hi all – Not a great deal to report again – not doing much today with it being sunday, its our day off. Nowhere to go so we’ve decided to make Terry watch 4 hours of Gone with the Wind seeing as he’s being really romantic haha. We told him we were confiscating his book until he’s watched it and he said “Frankly My Dear, I don’t give a damn” haha.

We may add to this later if we get any video or photo’s but if not it will be tomorrow – Sorry if this dissapoints all Terry’s audience. Lots of love x

Saturday 14th June – Netta

Good morning all. Terry is again feeling great and still singing… Thanks to all the people still leaving comments, we appreciate them and they encourage us every day, its lovely to hear your words of support and they give us lots of laughs too.

We had a funny evening yesterday – it all started with a man sat in the garden playing a pipe – it was a lovely sound and he seemed to draw everyone out like the pied piper. It was just like a penny whistle type of thing – anyway, while we were watching from the balcony we realised that there are people from all over the world and all walks of life here with completely different reasons for being here but with the same goal – looking for a miracle cure which they have been given hope for. It was so touching to see a young woman who suffered a stroke after an epidural whilst giving birth to her 2nd baby. She couldn’t walk or talk when she arrived but last night she was trying to walk with the aid of her mother in law and sister in law – she waved to us and said “Nihau” and everyone on the balcony cheered and it made us all cry, it was very emotional. Mum said it felt unreal, like a different world. See the video’s.

Friday 13th June – Netta

Hi all – TGIF.  Not a great deal to report today. Terry’s still feeling good and has now taken to chasing the nurses down the corridor and he actually had a dance with one of them. Sadly I was too late with the camera to catch the actual dance but I was able to get a photo and a bit of a video with the nurses.

The physiotherapist said he’s going to continue to work with his hands this week and then start to work on him walking more naturally next week.

The little boy next door has finished his treatment and seems much brighter and happier than he was when we first met him – he’s crawling very well now also. They are going home tomorrow. We have a lot of new neighbours – three groups from Hungary, two who have ataxia and one with MS. There is also a little boy from India but we don’t know whats wrong with him yet.

Oh well guys.  Have a great weekend and we’ll keep the updates coming. Lots of love xx

Thursday 12th June – Netta

Hi everyone – and thanks for the gags haha I asked for that didn’t I?? Oh well, they made us laugh anyway.

Terry is feeling great this morning – he’s being so loving towards mum that she thinks he’s taking the mick… He told her she was beautiful yesterday which he has NEVER said before and he keeps singing love songs to her (makes up the words mostly haha) tried to push their beds together last night but she was having none of it haha. I told them I’d better get looking for a motel nearby if this carries on…. don’t want to be a gooseberry..

Thanks Paul for the beetle info – didn’t get the name at first ‘Lennonis Mccartneya’ haha took me a while but I got in in the end. We didn’t wok it I’m sure you’ll all be pleased to know, but it was gone pretty quick so I think the neighbours might have beat us to it haha.

Anita asked if Terry sings in his sleep.. The answer is No, not exactly but he jabbers!!! and laughs hysterically – I have the camera on standby for the next time he does it its hilarious!!

Wednesday 11th June – Netta

big-bug.JPGbig-bug-3.JPGbig-bug-2.JPG
Big bug in the corridor. It’s body was over an inch long. I asked the chinese lady next door what it was and she said “it looks like a big bug to me” haha.

Hi guys, Well Terry has just got back from his injection and he’s feeling good (still singing). We were thinking it must be because the stemcells coming from the chinese and the chinese love karaoke maybe this is the explanation for it. haha, he’s singing allsorts of songs and even he doesn’t know where they’re coming from… bizzaar eh?

He wasn’t too good yesterday afternoon – his balance was a bit off and his walking wasn’t as good which worried us a bit but looking through other peoples blogs it seems that this is quite common halfway through the treatment for some reason. Anyway, he’s not meant to have the full results from the stemcells for approx. 6 months so if you think of the difference in him in 2 weeks maybe we are expecting too much too soon and we should be grateful for any improvements at all this early on I suppose.. He’s feeling better today though and very happy with his results so far so thats whats important I guess.

We enjoyed the Pizza last night although I was feeling a bit ill (I think its the Malaria tablets that keep doing it to me). It was nice to get out for a change though and Terry really enjoyed himself.

The beach was about 15 mins drive away and the temperatures are in the 90′s (not sure what it was yesterday but it was much hotter than this. The humidity is 66%. (these are today’s readings).

Could anybody be so kind as to send us a gag!! He never stops bloody singing even on the loo!! Lots of love xx

Beach

Hi all – as you can see, we made it to the beach but sadly this is the only photo we got as the batteries died in the camera. It wasn’t a bad beach – there were heaps of sunbeds and umberellas but it was just too hot!!! We stayed under the umberellas most of the time.  Terry decided not to come with us because it was too hot for him but we are all going out for for a big night out at Pizza Hut!!

We have started getting through the requests as promised although the words are a bit of a problem so he replaces them with da de da de da most of the time haha. Thanks again for all the messages – however silly (Paul) haha.

Lots of love xx

Sunday 8th June – Netta

Hi all – had a really lazy start to the day today, even Terry didn’t wake up until 8.30am. We made him stay awake till 10pm watching video’s (and singing) so it obviously did the trick. He’s feeling good, the same as yesterday and he wants me to thanks you all for your messages.

Mums cooking stew for tonights tea for Terry and the portugese (sounds like a rock band). Don’t know what we’re having tonight but we had fried egg and chips last night (yummy) that was no mean feat cooking egg and chips in a wok!! Can’t face the meat still, probably a bowl of rice again for us…

Mum and I have been to the market again – we didn’t get chased this time and we got a few videos to show you all, but not sure if you will get a true picture of how everything is from them though.  Terry has just informed us that he’s been down the stairs and into the garden while we were away after promising he wouldn’t wander off – I’m sure he does it just to wind mum up haha. He said he had to go to say Nihau to all his chinese friends (he was saying miaow yesterday haha) in fact he’s got his own chinese language going at the moment and they all think he’s hilarious especially the cleaners – I’d love to know what they’re saying to each other as they have fits of giggles everytime one of us opens our mouth. He’s been drinking a lot of chinese tea and his hair has started sticking up at the back mum keeps putting lots of lick on it Nathan haha. We can’t shut the singing up, he’s continually at it but we’ve never heard of any of the songs he’s coming out with. Oh sorry I tell a lie – he’s just been singing – Hoots mon, theres a moose loose aboot this hoose….. hahaha.

They were filming the local soap opera on our landing last week – Terry wanted a part in it, he was itching to get on it. He got more attention than the actors did. Oh well, thats it for now – Hope you enjoyed your birthday Ollie and Georgie – let us know what you got up to xxx
