August 12 16 days & counting til coming home !!!!
Yesterday’s stem cell treatment went very well !!!!! I didnt let him nap before it this time so he came back asleep & slept through 3 of his 4 hours of down time. That is a first & it gave me a much needed break without staying in the bed & making sure he didnt get up. He played for about 2 hrs when he got up at 8 then fell back asleep most of the night. I couldnt have asked for a better day !!!
He hasnt been eating much like many of the other kids cant seem to get full after having stem cells, but he drinks tons so I think he is ok !
Today we are going to stay in again & just be lazy..I dont want to take him out int he heat & stress him right after a treatment. We had another family go home this morning..Melissa & Wilma & her son Josh who is being treated for SOD..they aer so glad to be heading out of here & back to the US…they dread that they will have a long layover in the Korean airport, but should be fine !! cant wait to get home and be able to check in with all of these great families we have met here !!!
Oh oh oh…believe it or not ..yesterday before tylers treatment I went out in the play area to get him something to play with to kill time…right on the shelf was a laptop !!! now for all of you that know tyler you know that is the ONLY toy he truly loves…i could kick myself for not having my video camera out when i brought it inthe room & played the song…he sat very still & got a huge grin on his face !!! i put in next to him & he opened it & started pushing allt he buttons as if checking to make sure everything worked !!! and of course he has played with it every waking hour since then !!! it wil be going home with us & everyone here is on the lookout for them while out shopping !!!
Its lunch time or late breakfast since he has already had his PT today !!! he didnt scream as much today as usual which is a good sign !!! Will probably write back more later in the day if we have anything of interest going on !!!
