Greetings again! Wayne’s stem cell injection schedule has been set. He receives his next spinal cord injection on June 18, Monday in the afternoon usually around 3:30 pm. He receives another injection but this is strictly through his peripheral IV (arm) on Friday June 22. He will receive subsequent spinal injection on June 27 – Wednesday, and the last one July 2 – Monday. Accompanying the stem cells is an IV infusion of growth hormone hopefully to generate more cells and specificity. When Brandon and Christi’s second child, Carlee was born, I was fortunate to be in the delivery room. After the delivery I saw the Dr. with multiple tubes, the umbilical cord and placerta. The kids told us they had made arrangements for banking the cord hopefully to help Wayne in the future. Not only did we receive another grandchild but a possible answer for Wayne! We later found out there is no advantage in using your familys cord because there is no genetics involved. This is why there should be no rejection from the host. Her cord will be kept for future use, hopefully never needed. In fact, the comment was made how far behind the USA is, that China has collected all their umbilical cords for the past 7 years. In the USA, we simply dispose of them. Our day has been fairly repetetive with physical therapy. The importance of keeping Wayne physically in shape is essential. We told you earlier that we had no English speaking stations on the tv. As this is being written Wayne found Chinese bad minton. He is really missing his ESPN!! We will probably not write over the weekend until Monday after Wayne has his 2nd stem cell injection. We wanted to share a email that Britt sent. Apparently she ate at a Chinese restaurant and her fortune cookie stated, “Your dream will come true when you least expect it.” So we’re hoping for a big week! We hope you all have a safe weekend. Because God is with us, we need not fear what lies ahead. God Willing Wayne and Deb

Hey Wayne and Deb,
Actually there are no hormones or steroids involved in the treatments. It is actually nerve growth factor.

Wayne and Deb,
Good to read your blog again. (What in the world does the word “blog” mean – it’s a real strange word.) Anyway, I can feel the excitement in what you write that you are both anxious about the next
injection. Our prayers, along with so many others, will keep coming.
I can understand how Wayne must feel without American tv. Watching tv can really help pass the time away. Fortunately, if you know how a sport is played, you can usually follow along without anyone telling you what’s happening. Just to let you know, the Cardinals got hammered by the Royals last night. They are still kind of up and down. The pitching was horrible last night. The hitting seems to have come around. As usual, the Yankees are on a run and are now only 6.5 games out of first place. Hopefully, when Carpenter returns, the Cardinals can make a good run at first, also.
Still hot – 93 degrees.
Love those fortune cookies!
God Willing!

Deb and Wayne—-Well, here it goes again. I have been trying to blog but being a novist with technology, it has hampered me in being successful. We have been reading your blogs and it is a great way to keep us all informed. We think about you every day and continue to hope and pray that a miracle will happen for Wayne. You are all on the best team you could be on. The Lord is always coaching and directing you ALL of the way. Wayne, keep up the good work and Deb Thanks for ALL that you do. We Love You. Deb:
Never done this before. Hope all is well. I check the blog daily. What a great thing. I know you are exhausted with excitement. What a great feeling. Keep the faith. Best of luck. The OPEN is really giving the pros a tough time. Tiger is 2 shots back. Baddelley has a 2 shot lead going into Sunday. Hope you received my EMAil earlier in the week.

Greetings Wayne, Deb, & Jarrett,
Tried before but maybe I can get this one to send this time. Perhaps you got my email, at any rate like every one else we’re thinking of you often and praying this turns out very successful! Sure thought they would have an Amer. TV station you could tune into. (We know so little about such details in China.) Also we’re wondering just how big is the room is your in? (Never thought you’d all be put in the same room.) Talked to your mother a couple of days ago Wayne, also tried to call Brandon this evening but didn’t get him. Guess Deb has had about half of her stay there now. All will be anxious to see her when she returns, and for sure you when you get back to Nashville Wayne.
OK guy, you can do it! Our very best wishes & our prayers for you! We ove you all!

Thank you for keeping your progress and this new experience so up to date for all of us thinking about you here at home. I know you have heard this and read this many times already, but please know that I too think about you, pray for you, and love you dearly!
It was nice to read that you ventured out in the world if only for some Micky D’s. Is it as crazy there as it looks on tv? Even though you were getting stared at, does the general public seem nice?
Good luck with the next round of injections and I’ll be thinking about you!
