Jody here from Aussie land, I have been checking your blog Wayne and was wondering how you have been going since leaving China. Are you planning on going back? Wayne and Jarrett,
HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY! For some reason I thought that the Chinese, through whatever celebration they have, kind of influenced our fire works displays. Is there any truth to that or is my imagination running away with me? I know they have Chinese celebrations with parades using dragons, but I guess that would be more like Marti Gras.
Saw Deb today, and as usual, we talked about you, Wayne. She really misses you and can’t wait until she has you safe at home – you, too, Jarrett.
You can think of me moving my dad into his house on Friday and Saturday. We have worked at getting it ready for the past two weeks. We still have some painting to do and a lot of cleaning. Ugh!
I probably will only get to “blog” you another time or two before you are home. I will try to send you some emails after you are home. You can’t get rid of me that easy. Don’t feel like you have to respond if I send something, only when and if you feel like it.
Hope to see you sometime after you return. Don’t forget, I have a necklace for you.

God always has a reason for allowing adversity. He knows what is best for us. We often do not recognize God’s hand in our affairs until the adversity is past. But eventually we will, if we walk with him.
Adversity is an opportunity for God to show us His power and to bring us out stronger than we were. Until adversity hit, you did not know God’s faithfullness as fully as you do now. Adversity also prepares you to be of help to others when they need you. Without adversity, our faith would not increase.

Your faith, inspiration, dedication, and determination has been a real testimony to so many people across the world. You cannot imagine how many individuals are always asking about you. Their prayers and support are what is so wonderful. Just wanted to let you know that your cousin Mark has tried to blog but hasn’t been able to make it through. I believe he is techno challenged like me.
Duane had his kidney stones removed once again. He has been in excruciating pain for six days. Hopefully having the stent removed will be positive. We hope and pray that he doesn’t have to do this every six months.
The statement that Phil had written is definitely true. We know that you are fighting the fight, doing a great job running the race, and we all know that you will finish the couse.
I remember what Dad told me when I had my surgery, “No pain, No Gain.” I believe that was a famous saying of his. Do you know where he got that from? We all know that you have had a lot of pain, so you have everything to gain. In the Portyal Prayer it said for July 1st, “In the beginning was the word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God .All things were made through HIm and without him was not any thing made that was made.”

You seem like your in the “zone” of getting healthy again. I always use the saying “fight the good fight” and “keep fighting till the fighting is done” You have an amazing gift of will power that most of us can only dream of having.

Wayne,
I guess it’s hard to believe that your journey to China is almost at an end. But, as you said, you are very anxious to return home and see your family and enjoy a “Pork Steak”.
I have an appointment to see your wife tomorrow, and I’ll ask her if she got the hint. Somehow, I think she did.
Weather here today was really nice. The humidity was fairly low and no extreme heat. It’s amazing to see how the crops have grown since we had our wonderful rain. Hopefully, God will continue to bless us with rain again soon. When you get back to the states, you will probably see some coverage on the news of the flooding in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. There have also been some terrible fires in the west due to drought. If only we could transport all the water from the flooded areas to the drought areas.
It’s really late, so I had best sign off. I’ll leave you with this small verse that was written anonymously.
